Parent Education & Support is vitally important in the development of flourishing families. We acknowledge that the vast majority of parents want the absolute best for their children, but the reality is we were never formally taught how to be ‘awesome parents’. Most parenting is simply ‘learned behaviour’ from remembering how our own parents parented us. Sometimes what we learned was fantastic, and other times, not so great and occasionally what we learned from our parents was actually quite emotionally damaging. There are decades of research of ‘better parenting’ techniques, so why not find out about them.

Common difficulties faced by parents include:

  • Tantrums & other behaviour problems
  • Children not Sleeping or Bedwetting
  • School refusal & academic performance
  • Sibling rivalry & fighting
  • Internet misuse
  • Chores and developing responsible kids/teens
  • Managing strong Adolescent emotions (anger, sadness, disappointment)
  • & 100′s of other ‘common’ issues

Assessment using interviews, surveys and structured diagnostic tools helps us to determine what is going on for young clients. Assessments are a great way to uncover their strengths and resources and also develop a greater understanding of the areas needing special attention.
