Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make an appointment for Counselling or Assessment?

  1. Call our clinic by phoning (03) 9351-1166. Our receptionist Maryam or Lutfiye will ask you name, your phone number and arrange for a mutally suitable time for you to attend an appointment.
  2. They will also ask you whether you have been to your doctor (GP) for a referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan (2710). However it is up to clients whether they would like to get this referral. If you are eligible, the Medicare rebate will substantially reduce your out of pocket cost for our service.
  3. The reception staff will also ask whether you are seeking counselling or assessment under any paid health scheme such as TAC, Workcover, Private Health Insurance, VOCAT, Legal Aid or another organisation. If this is the case you will need to bring the documentation to the first appointment.
